Meet our Poogie

Poogie, an energetic and playful jenny, is a bundle of joy! Her mother, Kesem, arrived pregnant at the sanctuary, and Poogie was born into a world of fun and games. She's oblivious to the outside world, her mother's years of cart-pulling, or the concept of an unhappy donkey.

When you enter the compound, Poogie is the first to greet you, eager for all the attention. If you look closely, you won't be able to miss it—she is smiling! Like all the babies at our shelter, she was born into a life of freedom and indulgence, and she's only known good times. Poogie shares a special bond with Einav, one of our caretakers, who spends many hours playing with Poogie, training and pampering her.
